What is Secure Socket? |
| Secure
Socket Technology or more commonly known as SSL encryption
is a very secure type of encryption used by online merchants
and banks to encrypt all data coming from and going to their
website. At its most basic level SSL encryption uses a
key randomly generated at the start of each
transaction with at least 128 characters to encrypt
the all communication with the site. When SSL encryption is
established you should see a lock in the bottom right corner
of your Internet Explorer window. |
